Nava Pottery

Nava Pottery is a boutique brand that creates and sells unique, handcrafted ceramic pieces. The goal of this redesign project was to elevate the visual identity and user experience of the website—specifically focusing on the homepage and shopping cart.
My role was to modernize the website’s first impression, highlight the craftsmanship behind the pottery, and improve the purchasing flow with a cleaner and more intuitive cart experience.
The final design creates a warm, artistic, and inviting atmosphere while ensuring a smoother and more user-friendly shopping journey.

Design Process

The design process for Nava Pottery began with understanding the emotional value of handmade ceramics and how customers interact with artistic products online. The brand expresses authenticity, craftsmanship, and individuality, so the redesign needed to emphasize visual storytelling and a sense of handcrafted quality from the very first moment users land on the homepage.

For the homepage redesign, I focused on creating a layout that showcases the pottery collections through large, expressive imagery and balanced negative space. The visual direction was shaped around earthy tones, soft textures, and clean typography to reflect the natural essence of ceramics. The goal was to immediately draw users into the artistic world of Nava Pottery and help them connect with the craftsmanship behind each piece.

For the shopping cart redesign, I aimed to simplify the purchase process by reducing distractions, reorganizing product information, and making pricing, quantities, and available options easier to understand. Clearer hierarchy, adjustable item controls, and improved visual feedback were added to create a smoother, frustration-free experience. The goal was to build trust and comfort, encouraging users to complete their purchase with confidence.

Throughout the redesign, I refined spacing, visual rhythm, and content structure to ensure consistency across the homepage and shopping cart. The result is a more cohesive, aesthetically rich, and user-centered design that enhances both the brand identity and the shopping journey.
